I’m often asked which of my books is my favourite, and the answer is … they’re all my favourites, in different ways! (I sound like a mum placating her kids, don’t I, but it’s the truth, I swear!) This week I’m going to tell you a little bit about why they’re all special to me.

Come Back to Me was my first published book (but not the first book I wrote – more on that another time!) Story-wise, I love the complex love triangle in this novel: it’s so raw, and I felt so much for each of the characters, who are trying desperately to connect with each other.

I signed the deal when I was pregnant with my first child, and my husband surprised me with a night out with friends (in a limousine!) to celebrate. I was with Random House back in those days, and it was full of very special people, in particular my publisher Larissa Edwards who was an incredible support, and without whom I doubt I would have reached book number six!

What it’s about:

When Mark’s husband introduces his date, Julia, to Chloe and her husband at a London restaurant, it’s obvious something is very wrong. Alex and Julia pretend not to know each other, but the shocked expressions on their faces tell another story.

As the mystery of Julia’s identity unravels, a terrible tragedy from ten years ago comes to light. While Chloe struggles with a secret of her own, Alex must decide whether to take Julia back to Australia to lay the past to rest, and Julia must choose whether to finally confront Alex with the whole truth of what happened all those years ago.
