We’re going on a book hunt! Welcome book hiders and hunters.

You can download assets and resources from this page, and join the #BigWABookHunt and the #BigBigBookHunt! Please read the guides before hiding a book or joining the search.

The #BigWABookHunt will connect readers and writers in a celebration of reading and finding great stories. If you’re an author based in Western Australia, you can get involved in the #BigWABookHunt by hiding wrapped and signed copies of your books throughout WA between 20 March and 20 April 2025. Please use the hashtag #BigWABookHunt and post photos on your social media platforms to provide readers with clues.

This new initiative will:

• Highlight the vibrant writing community in WA
• Build reader awareness of local WA-based authors
• Allow authors the opportunity to share and showcase their work to their local area, under a broader umbrella.

If you’re not based in WA you can still join in the fun! Hide your own wrapped and signed copies of your books between 20 March and 20 April 2025, follow the guideline PDF documents, and post photos on your social media platforms to provide readers with clues. Let’s join forces and see how far the book hunt can travel!
