PRIME CRIME

Australian authors Jane Caro and Sara Foster are best-selling crime/thriller writers known for their strong, complex female characters.

In novels that unflinchingly address gender-based violence, misogyny, slavery, and psychological control, Jane and Sara place mothers and other powerful women at the heart of their stories.

Jane’s debut crime novel, The Mother challenges us to consider just how far we’d go to protect the ones we love. Her second novel, Lyrebird has been described as a twisty thriller with a moral dilemma at its core.

Sara’s recent 2025 novel, When She Was Gone is a pulse-pounding, emotionally gripping psychological thriller centred on the disappearance of a 15-year old girl.

Join Jane and Sara as they share the stage with Gillian O’Shaughnessy for a compelling conversation about the challenges of writing crime and creating female characters with courage and heart.

Things to note:
– Please dress warmly.
– A complimentary glass of wine and light catering are included in the ticket price.
– A pay bar will also be available.
– Books will be on sale and Jane and Sara will be available for signings after their conversation.
